Two 260 kW electric motors produce a combined 404 kW and 850 Nm.
The Range Rover Sport has always been the model you choose when you want to drive rather than be driven. For the first time it is fully electric, and Land Rover’s engineers insist the driver’s character has survived the switch intact.
Performance and Driving Dynamics
Two 260 kW electric motors produce a combined 404 kW and 850 Nm, the highest torque of any Range Rover Sport. Dynamic Launch Mode delivers 0 to100 km/h in as little as 4.3 seconds, matching the P530 V8. Torque arrives 50 per cent faster than in the full size Range Rover Electric.
The body is 61 per cent stiffer than the plug-in hybrid and the centre of gravity is 73 mm lower. Electronic Active Roll Control, Twin Valve Dampers and All-Wheel Steering make the large SUV feel smaller and more responsive than its size suggests. Top speed is limited to 200 km/h.

Off-Road Capability and Testing
Wading depth remains 900 mm. Engineers validated the car in the Carrara marble quarries in Italy, climbing 45 degree gradients on polished marble and fine dust while using all wheel steering to clear tight hairpins without reversing. Development also included high-speed work at the Magarigawa Club private track near Tokyo. Even the artificial sound has been tuned with layered tones designed to encourage drivers to explore the different drive modes.
The 118.5 kWh usable battery delivers up to 609 km.
